1st Annual Fun Run/Walk Virtual Race
Whether it's your 1st race or your 101st, YOU ARE READY for the
First Annual Refuge of Hope (Virtual) POINT 5K Run/Walk
Presented by Ron & Dawn Hartman
Sunday, June 28th, 2020. You pick the time and place.
(Prior to Covid-19, the plan was to start at the door of the old Refuge of Hope location and race POINT 5K (up to and around the new building to the finish line at the doors of the dining room) as we mark our first anniversary in our new location.
YOU CAN DO IT!
From your bed to the bathroom...to the kitchen then the couch...to the mailbox and back...again to the kitchen and the bathroom (repeat as often as needed)...and back to bed. You're half way there! A POINT 5K is just 1,640 feet.
Better yet, pick a neighbor 820 feet from you, run/walk to their door and challenge them to join the race to the next neighbor's door, then dash back home and you've completed a POINT 5K!
A GOOD KIND OF CONTAGIOUS
Run/Walk on your own, as a family, or as a team (company, church, youth group, school team...).
Your steps glorify and serve God by providing meals for hungry men, women, and children, emergency shelter and transition to independence for homeless men, and spiritual HOPE through Jesus Christ!
REMEMBER TO STRETCH
Let's see how far your chain will reach! Tag your friends and family and map the movement as we take steps to move our hurting, hungry, and homeless neighbors in the right direction.
PAST THE POINT OF A POINT 5K?
Hire a runner on your behalf. Eager racers will be standing by to go the distance FOR YOU!
Tune in to warm up with Refuge of Hope staff and watch them complete the course on facebook live!
All registered participants can refuel following the race with a coupon for a free donut compliments of Dough Co. Doughnuts & Coffee and bragging rights with your very own commemorative POINT 5K sticker for your car!
